This photographic series positions the camera as an inner lens — a tool for introspection that reveals the emotional landscapes beneath constructed images of the self.
In media, women have often been framed as objects of beauty rather than individuals with agency and authorship. Drawing from my experience working in editorial and commercial photography, this project reflects on how
external gazes shaped by industry, aesthetics, and power can penetrate a woman’s inner world and influence how she understands herself.

Rather than presenting the female body as something to be admired, the images deliberately distort, fragment, and obscure her form to visualise an interior, disrupted emotional state.
I create visual disruptions that embody her anxieties and the tension between how she is seen on the surface and how she feels within — a private world marked by vulnerability, resistance and curiosity.
